ADOPTION STORIES

Featuring "Tank the Pit Bull"
( Center )

Their Story:

I was coming home from work one January afternoon and I spotted this poor old pit bull walking down the sidewalk alone. I turned my car around and approched him. I called him over and he ran right to me. He was very friendly, wagging his tail and seemed to be relieved. It was obvious he had been neglected and needed better care. I brought him home and my wife met us at the door with a bowl of water. He was so thirsty, he happily lapped up the bowl of water. From there we took him to Dr. Park's office to see if he had a microchip. They did find a microchip and it was then we found out the little guys unfortunate history as well as his name, "Tank" (in the center). He stayed with Dr. Park's staff at Courtyard for the week, to recieve the best of care. We already decided if he got along with our dogs we would like to make him a part of our family. After the week at Courtyard, we introduced him to our other 2 dogs "Angel" (on the Left) and "Polo" (on the right). The dogs all seemed to bond instantly, as if the have all known each other forever. Tank continued his treatments at home with us for sometime. Now he is a normal healthy dog and is still the friendly, loving and affectionate boy that we met on the street.

From Courtyard

Tank was brought in by Morgan and Tim who have been very good clients of ours for a long time.  When Tank was brought in, he was scanned for a microchip. We found contact information from his microchip, and who he was registered under happed to be a dog rescue that we work with. The rescue was contacted and we found that Tank was adopted out to a family a year ago and was being severly neglected. Before he was at the rescue and adopted by the previous home, he was taken from an unlicensed breeding facility in California where space was more than cramped and was not a place for playing and loving. Tank is happy, and is in a forever home and will no longer have to move from place to place. He really ran into the right people on the right day!!
