Description of Facilities:
We have 6 luxurious suites. Each 50 square foot suite is equipped with a toddler bed, blankets, ceiling fan, and television on which we show G rated pet themed movies. Each suite has a different theme. All suites are climate controlled, and pets, of course, have 24 hour access to fresh water as well as regular feeding times dictated by you, the owner.

We also boast 40 Indoor/Outdoor runs which are 11 feet long x 4 feet wide, with 16 foot ceilings. These runs surround an open air courtyard area where dogs are let out individually 3 times daily. During their time outside all dogs enjoy a leash-free romp throughout the spacious courtyard. Our caring staff are always on hand to see that each pet recieves personal attention.

Extra services are available for a small fee. We are happy to do toe nail trims, vaccination updates, medication administration, and extra walks.

While all of our boarders are made to feel like THE TOP DOG OR CAT, we also offer a unique service called VID or VIC (Very Important Dog or Cat). This service includes extra  individual handling by trained staff members, daily brushing, extra love, special treats and extra toys and blankets. VIP services are well-suited for pets who are unfamiliar to boarding or who may be timid or shy. The special care calms the pets and makes them more at ease.

We offer a unique experience called "Doggie Recess". This interactive play time event takes place once a day from 11:30am until noon and has been created especially for clients that would like their dogs to have a social visit with other specially selected dogs. Recess is closely supervised by our head kennel attendant, and is a very positive experience for dogs who love other dogs and enjoy a daily interacton. Don't worry though, unless you have specifically signed up your pet for Recess, your dog will only  interact with any pets he/she is staying with and our staff.

We feed our boarders premium dry food (Hill's Science Diet Sensitive Stomach or Eukanuba Low Residue) once or twice daily depending on your at-home feeding schedule. In addition,  all of our canine guests receive a courtesy bath the morning of your departure date.  Please call if you plan on picking up early the day of your departure so we may accommodate your pet's bath!

We provide all bedding, food and treats, but of course you are welcome to bring anything extra that you think will make your pet more comfortable. We accommodate anything from crates, a favorite toy or two, special treats, pillows, beds, puppy pads, free feed containers and favorite food (canned or dry). Anything washable that you bring will be laundered the night before you pick-up so that your pet and personal items will go home looking, smelling and feeling great!

You may also feel at ease knowing that the Pet Resort and Spa facility is equipped with a state of the art fire sprinkler system as well as smoke detectors throughout the entire facility.

VACCINATION AND FECAL TEST REQUIREMENTS

It is important not to let our vaccination requirements overwhelm you. They are part of every dog's and cat's lives, and are routinely given by your licensed veterinarian. For boarding purposes, you will be asked the name of your local veterinarian or clinic, and our experienced staff will call and obtain the appropriate records for you!  If your pet's vaccinations are not up to date, we will inform you that your pet must receive them prior to boarding, or if you wish, the hospital staff will be happy to update your pet's vaccinations and fecal testing when your pet arrives.

PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST A VACCINATION WAVIER FOR YOUR BOARDING PET.  WE RESPECTFULLY ASK THAT YOUR PET BE CURRENT WITH OUR A.V.M.A. STANDARD OF CARE (see www.avma.comVACCINE AND FECAL REQUIREMENTS JUST AS ALL OF OUR OTHER GUESTS!

  DOGS

1.  DA2PP (distemper, hepetitis, parvo and parainfluenza) - Commonly known as the  "4 in 1"  vaccine, or distemper, this vaccine is given annually.

2.  Rabies -  Each state has their own mandates concerning the frequency of rabies vaccination. In Nevada, the vaccine is given every 3 years to adult dogs. Some dogs may benefit from annual vaccination depending on lifestyle.

3.  Bordetella - This vaccine protects against the upper respiratory tract disease commonly called "kennel cough". Dogs exposed to other dogs in places such as dog parks, boarding facilities and grooming parlors should receive this vaccine every 6 months.

4.  Canine Influenza (CIV) - This emerging infectious disease, not unlike the Human H1N1 virus, is highly contagious and causes severy respiratory disease, loss of appetite, lethergy, protracted coughing and sometimes death.  Virtually all unvaccinated dogs that are exposed will contract the disease.  See the link in the "MUST READING" forum!

4.Fecal exams are required every six months to check for parasites which may easily be spread to humans and/or other pets.

    CATS

1.FeLV - Every cat should be screened at least one time for the feline leukemia virus and the feline immunodeficiency virus (FeLV/FIV). If the simple in house blood test is negative, a series of 2 vaccines are administered at 4 week intervals with annual revaccination.  If your cat is strictly indoors and has no contact (not even through a door or window screen), he or she will not need to be tested again.

2.  Ent FVRC (Feline distemper, rhinotracheitis, calciviris, panlukopenia) - annual vaccination is recommended.

3.  Rabies - 1 or 3 year vaccine required once again depending on lifestyle.

4. Fecal exams are required every six months to check for paraistes which may be easily spread to humans and/or other pets.
